The Founder & Investor Talks organized by the Innovation Incubation Center (i²c) at TU Wien enable the audience to learn first-hand from experienced founders and investors. They share their international experiences, dos and don’ts and lessons learned during inspiring talks and answer questions in interactive Q&A-sessions. The talks are concluding with the possibility for networking with like-minded people accompanied by free drinks. With the TU Wien Alumni Edition, i²c wants to showcase especially TU Wien alumni, who decided to take the entrepreneurial path and offer an extra stage for their success stories.

Barbara Ondrisek will talk about her road from a freelancer to CEO of a successful company. This talk is about upsides/downsides and many lessons learned, the transition from being an engineer to a manager, about teaming up with other people, building a team, core values and strategies how to make a company work.

More about Barbara Ondrisek

Dr. Barbara Ondrisek is an entrepreneur, public speaker and enthusiastic software developer with more than 17 years professional experience. At the TU Wien she wrote her dissertation about IT-security of e-voting. With Mica, the Hipster Cat Bot, a chatbot that helps you discover hip places, she created one of the first chatbots on the Facebook Messenger and Skype platforms worldwide. With its success she founded the Chatbots Agency. She is also a community person and co-organized the BotBarcamp, a two days event & hackathon about AI, chatbots, Machine Learning in Vienna. She also co-organized monthly meetups such as “Geek Girl Dinner”, “BotsHub” and “Facebook Developer Circle” in Vienna. She recently co-founded Women&&Code, a non-profit initiative to teach women* to program in Vienna.
