i²c STARTacademy 2018

During the i²c #STARTacademy 35 experienced national & international mentors and 6 lecturers supported the scientists in their endeavor to discover the commercial potential of their research by working side-by-side with them and discussing their business model, financial model as well as sales and marketing strategy. The novelty of this year’s i²c STARTacademy was the input session on ‘Business Ethics’.

Special thanks to the amazing mentors who offered their time and support to the innovative research projects from the bootcamp.

Networking Friday 2018

„Entrepreneurial University“ has been this year’s subject of our annual i²c Networking Friday at Kuppelsaal of TU Wien. It’s been the 4th edition of our Innovation Summit, comprising a platform for showcasing TU Wien innovation, a forum for discussion in the context of universities and entrepreneurship activities, a great opportunity to network, and the pitch challenge of our i²c #STARTacademy where very early stage projects present for the 1st time their potential spinoffs.
Representatives of industry, public funding agencies, investors met researchers and entrepreneurial enthusiasts. Amongst our 400 guests, we had the honor to welcome Taylor Lador-Fresher – Ambassador of Israel, Therese Niss – Deputy of Parliament, Ludovit Garzik – Head of the Austrian Council for Scientific Research and Technological Development, as well as Margarete Schramböck – Federal Minister for Digital, Business and Enterprise who gave a keynote speech on the Austrian Social and Political Frame Conditions.
